Suppliers

PCG has developed close relationships with a number of key suppliers who provide services to PCG and its members.
These comprise:

Blackmore Borley Limited, insurance brokers and their subsidiary Randall Dorling Limited. Blackmore Borley devised the PCG Professional Indemnity insurance scheme for members and the PCG’s tax expense insurance policy that covers all PCG members for the professional costs of dealing with Revenue and Customs and excise investigations.

Bond Pearce, solicitors. Bond Pearce has been advising PCG since its inception and the lead service partner, Tony Askham, headed up the legal team for the PCG’s judicial review. The firm acts as PCG’s Company Secretary and also provides the legal help-line service to PCG members.

Hopper Williams & Bell are the PCG’s auditors and also provide management accounting assistance to the PCG.

Medibroker are the independent healthcare advisers who have set up the discounted private medical insurance scheme for PCG members.

Qdos Consulting are the tax advisers to PCG’s tax expense insurance policy and also provide the tax help-line for PCG members. They also developed and market jointly with PCG the TLC 35 insurance policy that provides qualifying members with cover for any additional tax, National Insurance and penalties that might arise if the Revenue successfully challenge a contractor’s status under IR 35.

Anne Redston (Expert tax Advisor) initially joined the Executive team to bring additional strength to the technical aspect of the detailed negotiations with the Inland Revenue. She had previously led the working party of professional bodies and others against the original proposals, and had continued to lobby for change and simplification of the IR35 regime from her position as a tax adviser.

Francesca Lagerberg (Case Law Review) Francesca’s role within the Executive team focuses on co-ordinating and managing the case law review service. This includes identifying individual cases where the law is unclear and where a case law decision would bring clarity and certainty to a wider number of contractors. She then recommend to the Board which cases should receive PCG support and oversees their progress.

Also there are a number of firms and advisers who provide contract review services to PCG members via the PCG contract review system.
