The PCG�Quality Umbrella, PCG (QU)�is based on NetPay Xtra, Parasol's invoicing and payroll umbrella company facility. This facility is administered by you using the internet and much of your communication with Parasol will be via email.

Once you have completed the registration process, you enter your timesheet details on the website and Parasol automatically invoices the agent/client.�

Parasol then pays you via its payroll process directly into your bank account (via CHAPS), within two working days of receiving and identifying the fees. You can also maintain your personal details and review the agency and contract details online. The facility also includes the claiming of business expenses, for example mileage to/from work and hotel bills, on a monthly basis to reduce your tax and NI liabilities. Note that if your agency is "self-billing" you will still need to enter timesheet details on the website.

The deductions made are based on whether you are weekly or monthly paid as follows:

  • Weekly paid - weekly administration deduction of �39.45 for each week, or part week, that you use the facility (�29.59 after tax relief)
  • Monthly paid - monthly administration deduction of �79.95 for each month, or part month, that you use the facility (�59.96 after tax relief)
Using the monthly fee of �79.95 as an example, PCG (QU) gives you a valuable package of services that would cost you around �112 a month to buy:


Please note the following important points:

  • If you have an additional payment in the same payment period that requires Parasol to recalculate and send a balancing payment again, they will charge you a supplementary deduction to cover bank costs of �9.50 if weekly paid or �13.95 if monthly paid.
  • Your service deduction will be selected based on the invoice frequency as stated in your contract.
  • Parasol will pay you within two working days of receipt of funds regardless of�whether you are paid weekly or monthly�and deduct accordingly (i.e. if your agency / client has agreed to pay you once a month, and pays you twice a month instead, the deductions will be made twice).
  • Please inform Parasol before payment is made if you feel you are on the incorrect service option.
