A former policeman turned UNIX guru from Sunderland, Gordon
Stutchbury, is the latest focus for opposition to one of the
Chancellor's most controversial tax measures.
Gordon's company Synaptek Ltd, backed by the PCG, is appealing
against a decision of the General Commissioners that he was
a "disguised employee" of one of his clients. Although
they found him to be "in business on his own account"
they still upheld the decision that he was subject to IR35.
The PCG and other interested contractors will be following
the case in person in the Cheshire Cheese, Little Essex Street.
