14th April, 2000 - PCG Services and Judicial
Review
Firstly, newsletter contains lots of important information
regarding:
- Update on Legal Challenge
- Portal news
- The Full manual
- Latest PCG draft sample contracts
Please ensure you take time to read the whole Newsletter
so you are up to date with PCG actions and services! We are
dealing with lots of enquiries regarding information that is
available on the site. This prevents us from making planned
improvements. We have a basic troubleshooting guide : Here
We now have 230 Associate members and total membership is rapidly
approaching the 10,000 mark.
Judicial Review Update
As you all know we are no longer pledging support for the legal
challenge, but we are collecting cheques to fund it. The response
so far has been fantastic and the PCG office has been flooded
with cheques but we estimate that there are still over 1,000
people who pledged who still need to send cheques, and up to
4,000 members who need to get involved. Please send in your
cheques as soon as possible so we can process en masse.
Currently we are working hard to structure the challenge and
we are not yet publishing details of our activities. Further
information will be made available to Associates in the near
future.
Further information about the legal challenge can be found
in the forum Notice board:

Portal News
This is moving ahead swiftly. Contractor members are currently
posting details. Look out for the public launch of the Portal
in coming months. Further details to follow.
The Full Manual
PCG is pleased to announce the arrival of the IR35 Full Manual
a comprehensive guide to the regulations and what you need
to do. This is a full version of the manual given out at our
seminars. Put together by our team of professional advisors,
this document is available for download
Here
and we will be updating relevant sections when appropriate.
Members will be notified of amendments so that the document
can be maintained as a live reference source.
Draft Sample Contracts
The latest PCG draft sample contracts have also been posted
to the Filestore.
Here
Dated 15th March, the contracts are the most comprehensive
yet and incorporate all the modifications and feedback so far.
Remember to be careful when using the contracts they will
not automatically see you over the barrier and do need to be
altered to reflect genuinely your individual circumstances.
