Objectives
The PCG aims to be the representative
voice for Independent Contractors in the knowledge-based industry.
Whilst the PCG was born of the need to fight the (infamous)
IR35 legislation, it must also turn its attention to a wider
range of topics and objectives.
The group will make representations to
the relevant government department for any legislation affecting
the lives and businesses of Britains Independent Contractors.
The PCG aims to help its members and their
businesses cope with the burden of the new legislation that
affects them, a burden that currently increases every year.
The group will seek to foster new business
relationships for its members and to promote the use of
Independent Contractors with industry and the Image of the
profession with both businesses and the public at large.
The PCG believes that its members are
in business on their own account and that education is the
key to promoting this aspect of contracting with Clients,
Agents and the Political parties.
IR35
This legislation remains the single most
important factor affecting our members. The PCG will continue
to fight this unjust and disproportionate legislation, through
the courts and at Westminster.
